“Is this trash or can it be art?” This is the question I’ve been dealing with ever since we made disposable medical masks mandatory in Germany (January 2021). I don’t know about you – or maybe this is a Berlin thing, but everywhere I go, I encounter these disposable masks: discarded somewhere on the street. In addition to Covid, I think we are having a garbage pandemic as well. I’m actually not one of the fanatic do-gooders, but I’ve been thinking: I’m going to use my Corona trash to make something artistic. This is the result.
FYI: The masks were are all sanitized before I upcycled them.
